| Cause
1: In many cases, it's during inclement weather. What you will find is that trees, snow or ice are blocking your path to the WisperTEL radio site. The radio does not penetrate these phenomenon and cause outages. If you have significant tree cover near you and you are looking over it, reflections caused by rain and snow on the trees can sometimes affect your connectivity. Cause 2: The second most popular cause of outages is power glitches. UPS or uninterruptible power supplies are the best way to resolve these. They are worth the money. Pulling the power for a few minutes generally will fix these glitches and restore service. If you have a wireless or wired DSL/Cable router, it needs to be rebooted too. Cause 3: Defective equipment or damaged equipment. These could be physical damage, static damage or lightning damage. Generally, the equipment must be replaced to restore service. |
