  1. Open Netscape
  2. Click on 'Edit'.
  3. Click on 'Preferences'.
  4. Double Click on 'Mail & Newsgroups'
  5. Click on 'Identity'
  6. Then input your name, and e-mail address (yourusername@wispertel.net).
  7. Click on 'Mail Servers'
  8. Enter your username as your 'Account Name'. (Account Name is the full e-mail address, i.e. yourusername@wispertel.net)
  9. Enter the outgoing mail server, smtp.wispertel.net.
  10. Enter the incoming mail server, mail.wispertel.net.
  11. Server type is POP3.
  12. Click 'OK'.

Netscape 4.5 - 4.72

  1. Open Netscape
  2. Click on 'Edit'.

  6. Click on 'Mail Servers'
  7. Enter your username as your 'Account Name'. (Account Name is the full e-mail address, i.e. yourusername@wispertel.net)
  8. Enter the outgoing mail server, smtp.wispertel.net.
  9. Enter the incoming mail server, mail.wispertel.net.
  10. Server type is POP3.
  11. Click 'OK'.

Netscape 7.1

  1. Choose Mail from the tool bar.
  2. Pull down EDIT and Choose Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings.
  3. Add your outgoing server settings as smtp.wispertel.net. Do not choose "Use name and Password." and select NEVER for Use secure connection. DO NOT SELECT OK.
  4. Next, you need to add an account. Choose Add Account.
  5. Click Continue.
  6. Choose email account and click next.
  7. Enter your full name and email address, click next.
  8. Then select POP and enter mail.wispertel.net in incoming server space, click next.
  9. You must enter your full email address even though it suggests just your name. Put your full email address@wispertel.net in this USER NAME space and click next.
  10. The next one is the name that the email program will refer to the account. We recommend you leave it as default, select finish.
